Hengistbury Head in the east of Dorset is a beautiful spot looking out towards the Isle of Wight in one direction and the Isle of Purbeck in the other. Along with supporting a great nature reserve, Hengistbury Head has a wonderful sandy beach which is home to a colourful collection of holiday beach huts, a lovely beach cafe and the historic Black House. Access to the beach is by foot, ferry - or the much loved "Noddy Train" all of which are depicted in my colourful twisty painting!
